MSc in Civil Engineering and Actuarial Science, 38 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry in different capacities including Senior management, underwriting, claims management, marketing, risk survey, actuarial & analytics and retrocession.
Former Director of Central Operations & Special risks of Africa Re in Nigeria and Regional Director of Africa Re in Mauritius, he has a sound knowledge of the African insurance / reinsurance markets as a result of participation in many conferences, seminars and forums across the continent.
He is familiar with the retrocession, as a member of the Management team of Africa Re negotiating the retrocession contract renewals in the London market. Extensive exposure to rating agencies requirements, as a member of Africa Re’s Management team participating in the annual review meetings with Standard & Poors and AM Best for more than 10 years.
Exposure to the new International Financial Reporting Standard for insurance contracts accounting (IFRS 17), as the IFRS 9 & 17 Project Manager for Africa Re from April 2021 to June 2024.
